Associated Joinery Techniques Ltd opened its first small factory in October 1967 with just one overriding aim: to produce laboratory furniture in the highest traditions of craftsmanship using the best possible materials.

Specialised Laboratory Skills:

Associated Joinery Techniques is involved with all aspects of laboratory installation, supplying furniture, fume cupboards, specialised services, fume extraction, chemical waste disposal and flooring systems.

Our design and build team are able to offer a complete 'turn-key' service where every aspect of a laboratory's design and installation is co-ordinated. This level of commitment to a highly specialised field has made the company a major force in the marketplace and our expertise is now sought by industrial, medical and educational bodies throughout the world.

We were, for example, responsible for supplying and installing all of the laboratories for the new British Coal Headquarters and, under the direction of King Fahed's consultants, we designed, manufactured and were responsible for the installation of the laboratory suite in the prestigious Medina Hospital, Saudi Arabia.

A History of Diversification:

Whilst laboratory furniture remains central to the company's continued prosperity, we have also been able to apply our twin disciplines of high quality and craftsmanship to many related areas with equal success.

Investment in the Future:

Even high standards of workmanship and quality control cannot guarantee success. That also needs investment in new technology and its workforce.

Our workshops are therefore amongst the most modern in the country and ideally suited to the work we undertake. Similarly we enjoy the benefits of a skilled and loyal workforce, essential if our traditions of high standard and efficiency are to continue.

A Personal Service:

No matter the scale of the commission the company undertakes, we pride ourselves that the service we offer is always personal.

After an initial contact, we would discuss the nature of your requirements in detail, suggesting alternatives where necessary and offering design information. This way we ensure that your needs and working environment can be met within your budget, while the final scheme complies with any relevant regulations.

When presenting detailed recommendations and drawings, we believe it is vital to draw up fully itemised quotations and to keep to them.

Once an order is placed, site sizes are taken and production drawings produced. These are sent for your approval and it is only after these have been approved that manufacturing begins.

Then, at every stage of manufacture and installation, a stringent system of quality control checks are employed. This way, we ensure that the standard of work is as we had first intended in October 1967: the very highest.
